Description:

Shruti is a warm, intuitive, and multilingual therapist who brings a calm, grounded presence to her work with individuals, couples, children, teens, and families. She has experience working with clients across a wide range of ages (6–65+) and from diverse backgrounds, including varied cultures, ethnicities, religions, gender identities, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic experiences.

At the core of Shruti’s work is the belief that with the right tools, support, and therapeutic relationship, every individual has the capacity for healing and growth. Her gentle, attuned style helps clients feel emotionally safe, allowing them to explore challenges more deeply and engage meaningfully in the therapeutic process. She thoughtfully adapts her approach to meet each client’s unique needs, goals, and life circumstances.

Shruti offers a humanistic, client-centered approach to therapy, integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based practices, and emotion-focused interventions. She is Level 1 trained in IFS through the IFS Institute and frequently incorporates parts work to help clients better understand their inner world. She believes that all parts of ourselves hold value, and that healing occurs when we approach them with curiosity and compassion.

She is skilled in helping clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, regulate intense emotions, and develop practical coping tools that can be applied in daily life. Mindfulness and meditation-based techniques are often integrated into her work to support nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and mind–body awareness.

In addition to her clinical training, Shruti brings extensive experience supporting parents across various stages of the parenting journey. She has worked with families raising neurodivergent children, including those with learning differences, autism spectrum disorders, and a wide range of developmental challenges. She also integrates Hand in Hand parenting principles and evidence-based approaches when supporting parents of anxious children and teens.

Shruti is highly attuned to the cultural and cross-cultural nuances that shape identity, family dynamics, and emotional expression. As a member of the South Asian community, she understands the importance of cultural humility and competence in therapy and is fluent in multiple languages to better serve diverse populations.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, a life transition, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, or seeking deeper self-understanding, Shruti honors the courage it takes to begin therapy. She hopes to offer you a space that feels supportive, collaborative, and empowering as you move toward healing and growth.
