Brief Overview: This course will help you differentiate between Self-Energy and Self-Like Parts. This course is designed for therapists and practitioners who have completed an IFS Level 1 training through the IFS-Institute.

Q: Are the IFS courses offered by MCAFT Retreats the same as the IFS Trainings offered by the IFS Institute?
No. Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 IFS training programs offered through the IFS Institute provide comprehensive training and experience in the IFS therapeutic model. Upon completion of each level of training, participants are prepared to work as IFS therapists, having gained a breadth of knowledge and understanding about the way in which IFS enhances their lives, the lives of their clients, and others. Other IFS events and activities – such as IFS courses offered through MCAFT Retreats – are generally shorter and/or serve as introductions to aspects of the IFS model. Some of the courses offered through MCAFT are designed specifically to support and empower those who are waiting to get into a Level 1 Training through the IFS Institute. Other courses offered thru MCAFT might be geared towards IFS trained therapists, and those courses might require a Level 1 training thru the IFS Institute as a prerequisite to the course offered at MCAFT. We hope these courses nurture, support and empower you on your IFS journey!

Intro to Internal Family Systems (IFS) Weekend Course
Dates: Friday, September 1 – Monday, September 4, 2023 (Labor Day Weekend)

Brief Overview: We warmly welcome you to join us for an introduction to the Internal Family Systems model through didactic learning and an experiential exploration of our own internal system of parts. This course is designed for therapists. However, motivated healthcare professionals and coaches are welcome to request to attend as well. No prior IFS knowledge is required. This weekend course will offer you a basic introduction to Internal Family Systems (IFS) and can serve as a helpful primer for the more in-depth Level 1 Training through the IFS Institute. Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO) Intro Course December 9-10, Online

Brief Overview: Participants will receive an introduction to the Intimacy from the inside Out© (IFIO) model. This course will include lectures as well as live and/or video demonstrations focusing on the protocols taught in the IFIO Basic Training. Experiential activities will be offered to help participants deepen their learning of IFIO principles as well as to explore "trailheads" in their own, internal systems. No previous IFS training required.
